I am back! But with backache on my back.....

We are having a major renovation on our house and that started 3 weeks back and I cannot imagine how I can go through another month of banging and drilling not to mentioned dust flying around like showering talcum powder blanketing every nooks and crannies.

Being allergic to dust, I was sneezing my head off until my nose looks like a raw burger.

I was braving this war alone as my darling daughter will be in school and my honey husband is at work.

The daily wiping and mopping is giving me nightmare. No joke, it really does.

Sigh...so much for home is but a paradise.

But then again, I guess the end result would be worth all the pain and of course the money well spent.

I can also swear that if ever we were to do it again, it will be for my daughter's wedding. So my little girl, I hope you will not let me go through this nightmare too soon.

So much for all the groaning and moaning. I can hear another wailing sound from the monstrous drill again and it's just too distracting for me to continue writing.

Okay drill, here I come. I will fight and kill you and leave no forensic evidence....

Why would a human be expected to be obedient?

I thought this term applies only to pets.

I do not expect my husband or daughter to be obedient. Imagine telling them to "Come"' "Sit", "Stay" and "Down" would be so hilarious.

Neither do my husband expect me to be obedient. He married me for my independent, rebellious and stubborn bull-headed self.

I would cry bucket if
I am expected to behave like a tamed animal.

There will be no human talk from your man, a grunt will be sufficient if he wants his meal on the table.

Or on the more humorous scenario, when it is the end of daylight, he would summon for his wench to move her butt and serve him like a king in his chamber.

This is a definite doom and gloom relationship. How backward can one be?

Discipline and moral values should be the order of the day in a normal relationship, common sense applied, excuse me, I am no expert but just your everyday normal human STAY-AT-HOME mom.

So how can a group of practical and intelligent women would want to set up a (OWC) club? It means Obedient Wives Club, not Old Wives Club if you are clueless about it.

It flabbergasts me to see how shallow and ignorant people can get. Nothing is worse than active absurdity and stupidity.

RICH UNCLE~~ COOL GADGETS

The other day, a rich uncle proudly show us his new toy, the Ipad 2. He was like as proud as a cock strutting the farmyard.

I was really gung-ho about getting my hands on it but being a barefaced and square shooting person have put me in a very unpopular position with rich uncle.

So to maintain my dignity I just drool myself silly from far.

But rich uncle is always quick to forgive his enemy and voila! I was like a kid having his first taste of ice-cream. Ha...not much room for the so call integrity!

Rich uncle also has this frenzy habit of buying cameras and mobile phones and his latest craze is the Ipad and laptop which he uses for skype ing only and he is as happy as a tick on a hound dog just doing that. What a waste of intelligent technology.

I would love to inherit some of this cool gadgets from him but of course I would not want to wait too long because items like this will be outdated fast.

But after evaluating my imaginary inheritance, I doubt it will happen soon as rich uncle is as strong as an ox and as active as a cat.

Heck...what am I thinking? How can I even let this evil thoughts invade my brain? Two timing my self-worth to feed my appetite for materialistic needs.

Forgive me for my sinful thought and spare me from the devil.

Somehow, somewhere, we are all slowly being consumed by our needs and greed for more.

Is materialism the only form of distraction from true bliss?

The saddest thing I can imagine in mankind is to get used to luxury.

I GOT COMMENT !

I cannot believe my eye. My heart was pounding against my ribs as though it wanted to get out.

I got a comment, yes..yes..finally I got a comment on my lonely crusade. I am beyond ecstatic. I was completely hog-wild when I saw it. Without wasting any seconds, I click on the comment and I am in for more surprises. This time I have to make sure I close my mouth just in case my excited heart jumped out of my mouth.

The maiden comment comes from none other than Alexandra Wong, my favourite blogger. I am also following her on her monthly column in our English daily The Star. I hope this does not makes me sound creepy or stalker-ish. If it does, I prefer to describe myself as that of a "Contemporary Interactive Observer" because it has just the right amount of flair. Besides "stalker" is such an ugly word.

Now my brain is hammered with so many question until it goes dizzy.

Being a prehistoric dinosaurs on the blog, now I have no idea how to response to Alex comment or does a blogger actually reply to a comment like what everybody did on Facebook or Twitter.

I does not want her to think that I am being rude for not responding so I actually post another comment on my own blog in reply to her comment.

Can somebody tell me am I doing the right thing? Or I should post on her blog and ask, `Hi Alex, did you see my comment'?
.
As raw as a sashimi in a Sushi Bar, I certainly feels like a country bumpkin on the blog.

CELEBRATING FATHER'S DAY

We celebrated Father's Day last Saturday with my husband sisters and their families.

It was a simple dinner but I guess it is a norm every year be it Mother's Day or Father's Day.

I think most of us take this as an opportunity to meet up with each other as everybody is as busy as a buzzing bee. Yup, praise the bee and swat the fly.

Yes, no matter how busy we are, we takes time out to make the important person in our life feels important.

Father's Day it seems use to take a backseat to Mother's Day, and, for the most part, dads are cool with that, quotes from the expert.

However, as traditional roles around the house gradually change, fathers are gaining more attention on their special day.

But not mine, like most dads of his era, my father was strict and distant from his children. He loves us but people born in his time does not believe in showing affection. We would fear him like a mouse would fear a cat.

Our relationship with him only started when he retired from his business. He become a different person almost overnight. Participating himself in household matters was a big challenge for him with mom. They cannot see eye to eye with each other. And I have discovered a caring and loving man in dad after all this years. We only have about four good years with him. He succumbed to heart attack at the age of 65.

Even if my dad is no longer around, Father's Day is still a time for wonderful memories and celebration of those special times that we shared.

Happy Father's Day...

CACHE & COOKIES

It was without doubt and sheer oblivious that I was transported to the world of cyber technology when we decided to connect the internet 3 years ago.

Yes, all those years I was in hibernation after giving birth to my daughter and quitting the workforce for good to bring up my baby.

When my daughter discover www.com from her school friends when she started year 1, that is the end of my peaceful untouched cyberless world.

The household has become chaotic.

There is a third party in the house.

Suddenly, everybody puts their full attention on Mr www.com.

My daughter could not wait to play with him everyday after school.

My husband has neglected me every night to spend more time with Mr www.com.

I on the other hand has not been doing my duty as a wife and mother because Mr www.com needed all my attention.

Sometimes I wish my computer were as easy to use as my telephone. That wish has come true, since I no longer know how to use my telephone...to err is human, but to really foul things up you need a computer and that is pure curse.

Yes, whether we love them or hate them, before long most of us will be living with them.

So brace yourself to the world of technology, web or chat, cache or cookies, come what may, hell or high water. +Cyber Freaks +Cookies & Clogs +HP Networking

It is almost the end of the 2 weeks school holiday.

I am counting the minutes, hours and days to the demised my lazy- hazy, diddle-daddle, dilly-dally heavenly days.

Oh, it's pure paradise sleeping and waking up at boundless and ungodly hours.

Life during the school holidays is paradisaical bliss.

I have transformed overnight into an angel sent from above. The angelic me has make me a darling with my daughter and husband but that of course will not survived for more than two weeks when the school reopen.

Meanwhile, the devil in me has been kept safely locked in the dungeon waiting to pounce again.

Yes, that's what school and stress can do to a blissfully happy human like me.

But then again, what do you expect when one has to zig-zag through crazy traffic jam under the scorching sun everyday except weekends and dealing with a tantrumus sleepy 11 years old.

Bless mothers of all universe, I truly salute those of you with half a dozen children or more.

As I am writing this, I can feel a tantrum coming on just thinking about school reopening.
