The color green is always associated with jealousy and envy. Yes, green on my font perfectly fits in this blog :)
Human are always in full desire of others possessions or advantages, extremely covetous.
Can we said that envy is a green sickness?
In my opinion, envy is not a sickness but normal of a human nature. But of course, envy cannot be to the extreme or there will be tragic cases like the movie Fatal Attraction which starred Micheal Douglas and Glenn Close where in the end somebody got killed.
I have to admit I am also a bit of a green eyed monster myself which sometimes confused my mind to think silly and discontented issue.
It can be overwhelming and took over your good soul. In instances like this, I will tell myself to suppress the negative thoughts and desires and not let them manifest into something ugly.
Instead of filling the mind with negative thoughts, substitute the mind with positive thoughts. When the mind is filled with positive thoughts, there is no place for negative thoughts to enter.
Easy said than done, I am trying to practice what I preach.
I will tell myself when I wake up first thing in the morning :
1) Be grateful that I am are still alive.
2) Thank my mother for giving me good genes.
3) Love my family more.
4) Blessed that my husband and daughter loves me as much.
5) Thank god that my family and I are healthy.
6) Be contended with what I have.
7) Happy to be surrounded by good friends and siblings.
8) Thank god again that we have enough.
9) Praying for world peace.
